Global Hands exists to improve the lives of children worldwide.
Founded by Megan Churchman, Global Hands is a non-profit affilated with Our Father's Foundation.
Megan's hundreds of hours of community service began as a Girl Scout, were supplemented by church youth groups, and are continued by her passion for children. Going to school to become an elementary teacher, her ultimate goal is to teach in Africa. Children are the central focus of Global Hands, which exists to improve the lives of children worldwide. Her primary passion is providing the children of Africa with the means to a better future, whether through meeting their basic needs or providing the education and skills they will need to be successful in their community.
In March 2012, she will be honored with her brother Justin Churchman as the Association of Fundraising Professional's International Youth Philanthropists of the Year.
* Cry Cameroon Harvest Children's Home, an orphanage located in Fundong, Cameroon, in west Africa. Work in the past several years has included vacation Bible schools, school and orphanage repair, donations, and construction of a kitchen. Global Hands is currently raising funds to cover: airfare of a May 2012 team, the materials needed to finish the inside of the kitchen, and a sewing project for the girls.
We will have awareness and fundraising campaigns at Lynx Exhibits March 24, 2012 during the Downtown KidsPalooza. Visit us from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 300 W. San Antonio in Downtown El Paso.
