Who We Are
Our Father's Foundation evolved out of a deep-seated desire on the behalf of its founders to take an active role in making our community a better place to live. Richly blessed by God in family, life and career, Laurie Paternoster and Michael Churchman stepped out in faith to personally fund a small, family foundation to begin meeting local needs. They were joined by their children, Meg Churchman and Justin Churchman, as well as Laurie's mother Carolyn Parker, each of whom made personal financial contributions to the fund.
The Foundation's name has a threefold meaning:
It recognizes the obvious source of all blessings and who it is who receives the glory.
It is the literal Latin translation of "Paternoster."
Finally, it is our fervent hope that the Foundation will live on through our children.
Since 2004, Our Father's Foundation has granted nearly $350,000 to more than two dozen non profit organizations in the El Paso area.
